Nicotine Pouches Are Growing Fast: What Adult Shoppers Should Know

Nicotine Pouches Aren’t Just a Side Category Anymore

If you normally shop with us for vapes, you may have noticed something changing: nicotine pouches are showing up more often, in more strengths, flavors, and brands.

On August 21, 2026, FDA authorized 11 ZYN ULTRA nicotine pouch products, following four on! pouch authorizations earlier that month. FDA’s authorized-products list now contains 43 nicotine pouch products.

For our customers, the point isn’t that pouches are “trending.” It’s that you now have another nicotine category to compare alongside disposable vapes, pod systems and vape hardware, and vape juice, and the selection keeps getting broader.

We currently carry nicotine pouches from brands including Lucy nicotine pouches, ALP nicotine pouches, Pillowz nicotine pouches, AMMO nicotine pouches, and ZYN nicotine pouches, across several formats, strengths, and price points.

Why Are More of Our Vape Customers Looking at Pouches?

The biggest difference is simple: nicotine pouches don’t require a vape.

There’s no device to charge, coil to replace, pod to refill, or vapor to inhale. You place the pouch between your gum and lip, where it releases nicotine while in use. (New to the format? Our guide to nicotine pouches, gum, and other nicotine alternatives covers the basics.)

You might still prefer vaping most of the time and use pouches only in certain situations, or you may just want a format that’s easier to carry and doesn’t need charging.

So the useful question isn’t “Should I switch from vaping to pouches?” It’s:

“Would nicotine pouches give me something my current vape setup doesn’t?”

If you enjoy the device, vapor, and flavor experience, vaping may still be what you prefer. Pouches don’t have to replace your setup. They simply give you another option: no hardware, no charging, no vapor.

What Should You Compare Before Buying?

Once you’re ready to choose a product, focus on three things.

1. Nicotine Strength

Nicotine levels vary significantly from one pouch to another. Pillowz nicotine pouches, for example, come in strengths from 3mg to 9mg.

Check the nicotine amount on the exact product rather than choosing by brand or packaging alone. If you’re unsure where to start, our guide to choosing the right nicotine strength explains how strength levels compare.

2. Flavor

Mint and wintergreen remain common, but depending on the product and current inventory you may also see fruit, citrus, coffee, and other options.

Knowing the vape juice flavors you usually enjoy can help narrow your choices, but the pouch experience itself will still be different from vaping.

3. Pack Format and Availability

Before adding a product to your cart, check:

  • single can or multipack
  • nicotine strength
  • flavor
  • pouch count
  • current availability

Stock in this category can move quickly, so start with our live selection rather than an older article or product list.

What Does the Recent FDA News Mean for Your Purchase?

FDA authorized the 11 ZYN ULTRA products through the Premarket Tobacco Product Application (PMTA) pathway. Earlier in August, it also authorized four products under the on! brand.

The important distinction: FDA authorization is product-specific. It doesn’t mean every pouch from the same company, or every nicotine pouch you see online, has the same regulatory status.

FDA currently states that the nicotine pouch products on its authorized list are the products that may lawfully be sold in the United States.

ZYN is one of the pouch brands we carry. Shop ZYN nicotine pouches and check the strength and flavor of each product before you buy.

FDA-Authorized Does Not Mean FDA Approved

FDA marketing authorization does not mean a nicotine pouch is safe or “FDA approved.” Nicotine is addictive, and people who don’t currently use tobacco or nicotine products shouldn’t start. For more background, see our guide to what nicotine is and how it affects you.

FDA evaluates tobacco applications using a population-health standard that weighs potential risks and benefits to both users and non-users. When comparing products, check the specific product, not just the brand name.

Before You Order

We require customers to be of legal age in their state, and we may use third-party age verification or request identification before completing an order.

State and local requirements can also affect tobacco-product sales, so check the rules where you live before purchasing. See our age verification policy for details.

The Category Is Growing. So Are Your Options.

Nicotine pouches are becoming a bigger part of the nicotine market, and for our customers that means more products to compare and another format to consider.

You don’t need to stop using the products you already enjoy, or buy a pouch just because the category is getting attention. But if a no-device, no-vapor option sounds useful, we make it easy to compare the strengths, flavors, brands, and pack formats in our store.

Before you add one to your cart: check the strength, the flavor, the pack format, and what’s in stock.
