Janet Woodcock Now Acting FDA Commissioner
Though Not Permanent, She's One of the Finalists

Janet Woodcock's stance on regulation around the e-cigarette industry is unknown. As an ongoing leader of the FDA, there is a possibility she will let the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products work on fair regulations as it's likely she has plenty more important matters to attend to due to COVID-19.
Gregory Conley posted a tweet on January 14th regarding this news stating, "No Biden FDA pick is going to magically reform the broken PMTA process, but Woodcock is at least an institutionalist who will likely respect the autonomy of different divisions. She'd be a better pick for a permanent slot than someone from Bloomberg land."
For reference, Bloomberg has been launching nefarious campaigns in different countries to regulate e-cigarettes. Michael Bloomberg, the loser of the 2020 democratic primary, uses his wealth as bargaining chip with major organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO).
The subsequent weeks of the November 2020 presidential election had political insiders saying Biden decided on two people as the final contenders of the FDA commissioner position. The two contenders were said to be David Kessler, and Josh Sharfstein, former deputy commissioner and large participant in Bloomberg's anti-nicotine castle made of sand.
CAN WOODCOCK HELP THE VAPING COMMUNITY?
Janet Woodcock is a medical doctor who trained at a Northwestern University has been apart of the Food and Drug Administration for 34 years. Working in numerous roles at the FDA, one of which being the director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) for over 12.
The CDER's primary use is approving various medical devices and drugs, and they are the single-handedly the most important and biggest center within the FDA. Woodcock's most notable work as of late is her assignment on Operation Warp Speed which entails the rapid development of coronavirus vaccines.
Only time will tell how Woodcock serves as temporary commissioner, and hopefully she will serve the people and help the adults who want to legally vape in the United States.
